Most Pokemon fans would scoff at, or run screaming from, Psychic Adventure. The creator of Pokemon Korosu is no exception, because they knew that a truly mature Pokemon game wouldn't merely have endless sex. It would also have crime! And a murderous revenge fantasy! You know, adult stuff! It's even, like all great Pokemon games.

I wasn’t too keen on playing Pokemon Prism for a variety of reasons. The most obvious of these would be the fact that the ROM hack is based off of the Pokemon Gold ROM. Now for those who’re unfamiliar with their Pokemon game history, Gold was one of the hallmark titles for the Gameboy Color.

Although it was great for its time, the game featured a smaller number of Pokemon compared to succeeding games in the third generation (e.g. Fire Red and Leaf Green). Honestly, I was expecting for the worst the moment I booted up Pokemon Prism on GBA4iOS. Now imagine my surprise when I checked the time on my phone to find that I’ve been playing the game for 4 hours straight!

Should You Use Cheats?

The great thing about Pokemon Prism is the fact that you don’t really need to use cheats to enjoy it. Aside from losing track of time, I also forgot to input some of the cheat codes that I researched about in preparation for my playthrough of the game.

Not everyone might have the same experience as I did so I’ve also listed down a couple of the cheat codes for you, my dear readers. If you’re ready to play Pokemon Prism then I suggest you list the following cheats down on your phone or notebook (whichever you prefer).

Working Cheats

Remember that Pokemon Gold was released more than a decade ago and for the Gameboy Color at that. The Game Shark cheat codes that I’m going to list down might seem alien to you if you’ve been used to using the ones for the third generation of games. Worry not though because the method of enabling these doesn’t differ from that of the more recent titles.

What’s a Pokemon game without this cheat? You’re probably sick and tired of seeing this type of cheat in my write-ups but then again, it is really handy. The only caveat of this cheat is that you can’t go inside doors when it’s enabled. For traversing long distances though, this can be quite handy.

Always On Bike

Using this cheat will give you around 66000 Poke Dollars to use as you see fit. Resetting the amount that you spent is a simple matter of disabling and then re-enabling the cheat on your GBA4iOS.

Infinite Master Balls in Slot 1

When it comes to catching Pokemon, nothing beats a Master Ball except an infinite number of Master Balls. This cheat will give you 99 Master Balls in the first slot of your Pack’s Poke Ball/Med pocket. You’ll have a formidable team of Pokemon in no time when you couple this cheat with the Pokemon encounter codes that I’ve listed below.

For some reason, Koolboyman changed the names and sprites of some of the legendary Pokemon. Don’t worry though since the ones I chose are just as strong (if not stronger depending on how you raise their levels) as their Pokemon Gold/Silver versions.

As I made additional research about Pokemon Prism, I realized that it actually got voted by PokeCommunity as its ROM Hack of the Year back in 2007. Overall, Pokemon Prism has been an eye-opener for me in terms of its gameplay and playability.

Not all good Pokemon ROM hacks have to be based off of Fire Red/Leaf Green or Ruby/Sapphire. I also had the impression that Koolboyman did a great job at polishing Pokemon Prism. In fact, I didn’t encounter many issues while playing (other than with Walk through Walls not working at times) even though the version I played was still in Beta.

If you are a novice, or just starting to play Pokemon games, this may not be your best choice. If you have a great memory and you see yourself as an expert player, this is a good fan-made game to play. The game is created using Pokemon Essentials by Maruno and RPG maker XP. Every gamer would have great experience playing this fantastic and exciting game.

Starting withcustomizing a chosen Pokemon character, choosing an appropriate challenge andgo back to the past. The story of the game will start with the 2nd Augur, aprotector of the region/dimension, telling his distress.

As a player, youwill need to escape from Darkai Cult’s clutches with the assistance of Mew,pave your way to Damien, a Pokemon trainer, and after that, you can pick yourPokemon.

3. Pokemon Ash Gray

This is anadaptation of the famous game FireRed. The game will start just like theoriginal game, where you are an amateur Pokemon game enthusiast. This indeed isa game for true Pokemon fans, as it summarizes parts of the series, do youremember the time when Ash dies and was resurrected using the tears of Pikachu.

So, you will bestarting fresh, finding your way to get Pikachu (your 1stPokemon) and here youwill have to spend loads of time bonding and training with it.

4. Pokemon Dark Rising

This will giveyou a feel like the Dark Souls of Pokemon. With the difficulty level hyped upto eleven. It is just usual to wipe out a couple of times before you get to the1st gym leader. The start of the game’s storyline is equally exciting and wouldgive you a great head start.

From your rivalbattles up to your random encounters, this game will leave any gamers hangingwith excitement. So, you will start with all dragon type characters, and as thegame proceeds, you will see the 1st 5 generations of Pokemon.

5. Pokemon Prism by Koolboyman

This is thehacked version of the popular Pokemon Crystal, it features a great plot line,and it offers gamers with an exciting battling experience. Your goal isstraightforward, fight with the gym leaders while you are collectingPokemons& training them while on the journey.

This gameintroduces 6 new types of Pokemon; Gas, Abnormal, Wood, Wind, Fairy, and Sound.You will be given a chance to make your character by choosing from the manyoptions of shoes, clothing, hairstyle, etc. Naijo, a new region, features a lotof routes, forests and caves spread through the gold token system and the map.

6. Pokemon Reborn by Amethyst Liddell

This is not your ordinary Pokemon game, it features a dark and thrilling fantasy plot line, nice graphics and a new region, named as the Reborn. So, the story kicks off with a shattering event that happens in the metropolitan. As usual, you will battle with huge number of Pokemon, but the difference is the effects are beyond the ordinary, it is truly incredible.

7. Pokemon Godra

This is not theordinary Pokemon game you see, as it goes the other way and takes a big leap bymaking the most out of your character. You can choose from the available careerpaths, a safari zone warden, military general, a war party leader, and a lotmore.

Other than theusual games of Pokemon, there are Eastern and Westerns halves of the Godrawhich feature quests and storylines for you to enjoy.

8. Pokemon Advanced Adventure

This is anadaptation of the game LeafGreen. This game requires you to defeat 8 gymleaders, conquer the Elite 4 and find the Pokemon hiding in the map. You alsohave to beat the madman, antagonist or egocentric of the game, Gary, a wickedgenius that is known for his bloodthirsty dictatorship.

Your storylinewill be based on a modest character who is struggling to be the best.

9. Pokemon Brown by Koolboyman

This is adaptedfrom the well-known original Pokemon series, Pokemon Red. You will startplaying with well-known characters, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

You will have agreat time playing, considering that the game is very challenging andbrilliant, it has classic sounds, and you are demanded to beat the Elite 4 inthe end.

10. Pokemon 3D

This is indeed a refreshingly new game that Pokemon fanatics can consider to play. This is a remake of the Pokemon Gold and Silver, the game stimulates the exciting world of the series in a 3D environment.

Although it isquite similar to the original games and series, the 3D effects give playerssomething to look forward to.

11. Pokemon Dark Rising 2

This is anadaptation of the original series FireRed, it features an elite team oftrainers called Team Dark Rising. You have to investigate and know the reason forevents that happened in the region.

So, your goal isto conquer the 7 demon lords that have unfortunately unleashed by Satan, todestroy havoc within the city.

The game istruly unique as it merges 2 worlds, Digimon and Pokemon.

12. Pokemon Rejuvenation by SuperJanPro

This is a moreimproved version of the famous game Pokemon Reborn. You will be traveling theregion of Aevium,and collecting the 18 badges to bring the real’s life forceback.

You have to faceand beat the evil organization named as team Xen. Your storyline will be basedon Yancy, a pop idol and a child of a former pop star. You can choose from the game’scharacters, between Gen I – VI.
